Professional associations
Professional association management software with a proper admission process
For a professional body, membership is a credential. Admission follows rules, the public register is a service to the public, and the seal a member shows on a website has to mean something today, not when it was issued.

What usually goes wrong
- 01
Applications arrive as PDFs and the admissions committee reviews them in an email thread.
- 02
The public register on the website is updated by hand and lists people who lapsed a year ago.
- 03
Members ask for a logo to put on their site and nobody can say whether they are still entitled to it.
- 04
Continuing education evidence is collected once a year in a panic.

A season with SupaGuild
- Admission
The candidate applies online, uploads diplomas, names two referees who answer through their own link. The committee reviews in stages; approval creates the membership, the invoice and the portal invitation.
- Register
The approved member appears in the public register with the fields they consented to publish, and receives a seal for their website.
- Renewal
Dues renew yearly; continuing-education evidence is uploaded as qualifications and verified by staff; a lapsed member disappears from the register and the seal stops confirming.
- Council
Elections run as secret ballots with a frozen quorum; resolutions are numbered and kept.
Questions
Professional associations
01Can the admissions committee see applications without seeing the whole register?
Yes. Reviewer seats see only the applications assigned to them, not the member list.
02What does the seal verify?
A public page that states, at the time it is opened, whether the member is in good standing. It stops confirming when the membership lapses.
03Can we charge a joining fee on approval?
Yes. A tier can carry a joining fee and a pro-rata first-year fee, invoiced when the application is approved.
