Data, import & GDPR

Your data comes in with its history and leaves whenever you want

A guided import rebuilds your register and its renewal history from a spreadsheet or a Wild Apricot export, with a dry run and an undo. Consents are recorded per purpose, every change is logged, hosting is in the EU, and a full export is one click away.

Import without fear

Upload the file, map the columns, and run the dry run: it lists every row that would fail, every duplicate and every date it cannot read, before a single record is written. Import when the report is clean. If something still looks wrong, undo the whole import within 24 hours.

  • Excel, CSV and Wild Apricot exports.
  • Renewal history rebuilt from joined and renewed dates.
  • Companies and the people who represent them imported together.

GDPR as a structure, not a checkbox

The association is the controller of its members’ data and SupaSailing SL is the processor, under the data processing agreement that is part of the platform terms. Consents are stored per purpose with their source and date; every use of personal data checks them. The audit log records who saw and changed what.

  • Consents: association communications, public profile, cross-association directory, partner marketing.
  • Audit log per member, exportable.
  • Data hosted in the European Union; sub-processors listed publicly.

Export everything, any day

Members, memberships, invoices, payments, events, consents and the audit log export as spreadsheets from the console. No request to support, no waiting. If you leave, your data leaves with you.

Questions

About data, import & gdpr.

01Where is the data hosted?

In the European Union, on Supabase (Frankfurt region) behind Cloudflare. Backups run daily and uploaded files are mirrored to a second provider.

02Do we sign a data processing agreement?

Yes. The SupaSailing Data Processing Agreement is part of the platform terms every association accepts at sign-up, and the current sub-processor list is published on supasailing.com.

03Can we get our data out if we leave?

At any time, from the console, as spreadsheets, without asking anyone. We would rather you stay because the product is good than because leaving is hard.
