Nautical federations
One register for the federation, its sections and its affiliated clubs
A federation sits above clubs: it has members that are organisations, sections with their own officers, a championship calendar and a register of certificates to keep. It needs chapters, not a second account.

What usually goes wrong
- 01
Each regional section keeps its own list and the national office merges them for every report.
- 02
Affiliated clubs renew their affiliation by email and the fee is tracked in the accounts package.
- 03
Judges’, race officers’ and measurers’ grades expire and the renewal courses are organised by guesswork.
- 04
The championship calendar lives on a website nobody can edit.
- 05
The general assembly needs delegates with weighted votes and the paper does not cope.

A season with SupaGuild
- Setup
One association, one chapter per region with its own administrators. Clubs imported as organisation members, officials as people with their grades in the qualifications register.
- Season
Affiliation invoices go out per club. The championship calendar is published once and embedded in the federation site. Entries arrive per boat; the venue checks in by QR.
- Assembly
Delegates and proxies are validated against the register, the quorum is frozen when the president opens the meeting, motions are voted and numbered.
- Year end
The board reads members and clubs by section, joiners and lapses, year on year, and exports the PDF for the annual report.
Questions
Nautical federations
01Can a section administrator see only their region?
Yes. Chapter administrators and staff see the members, events and reports of their chapter; the national office sees everything.
02Can clubs be members and people be members at the same time?
Yes. Organisations and people are both member types, each with their own tiers and fees, and a person can represent a club.
03How many sections does the plan include?
Pro includes five chapters; Enterprise is unlimited and is the usual plan for a federation.
